About / Evan Le
I like the part where an idea has to survive contact with hardware.
My work moves between CAD, fabrication, physics, and the fast iteration that competitive robotics demands.
01 / Current work
Team 1516A, Panda, and Anvil.
I am the 2025–2027 Captain and Lead Designer of Robotics Team 1516A. I help set technical direction and move mechanisms from first CAD layout to tested hardware.
Outside the team, I work on open-source machines including the Panda printer platform and Anvil toolhead. I care most about packaging, iteration, and learning which assumptions fail once a design becomes physical.
02 / Areas
What I actually work on.
- 01 Mechanical design
- System architecture and CAD for competitive robots and machines.
- 02 Fabrication
- FDM printing, hardware prototypes, and parts designed to be revised.
- 03 Performance
- Using physics to reason about mechanical efficiency, speed, and reliability.
- 04 Team leadership
- Technical roadmaps, design reviews, and execution for Team 1516A.
03 / Connect
Working on a robot, printer, or strange mechanical problem?
GitHub is the best place to see what I am building and where the work currently stands.
